Sustainability

People across the world are becoming increasingly concerned about climate change: 8-in-10 people see climate change as a major threat to their country, with food production being responsible for one-quarter of the world greenhouse gas emissions.

Our food choices have a significant impact on our carbon footprint, in our workplace and at home. By looking our behaviours, we can choose to make a positive impact on reducing the carbon footprint the food we make has.

In season comes first...

Buying seasonal produce sits at the core of our values, now more than ever we are fully commitment to this fundamental approach to buy seasonal and British when available.

We are committed to buying in season:

• British asparagus

• British strawberries

• Jersey royals

• British meat and poultry

• British free-range eggs

A-Z Waste Zero

Our Waste Zero campaign is a chef driven project that uses ingredients with the least amount of waste possible. Our chefs are incredibly skilled at using produce from root to stem in many creative and inventive ways that seamlessly fits with daily menu.

This practice drives minimal waste in the preparation and cooking of our delicious food on offer – lowering our carbon impact in the process and showing true care and value to the ingredients we use.

Fair to farmers

Our coffee beans our Rainforest Alliance certified – this seal means that the beans are produced using methods that support the three pillars of sustainability: social, economic, and environmental. Independent, third-party auditors – critical to the integrity of any certification program – evaluate farmers against requirements in all three areas before awarding or renewing certification.

Box clever

Are you able to bring your own box for take-away lunches? This small change can help us to do away with take-away boxes which are only used once and then discarded.
